The goal of the Harlem Renaissance was simple; a collective contribution to the developing intellectual achievements of African American people. The result however was multifaceted and produced both constructive and deconstructive elements that would forever be ingrained in the culture. The product of such efforts included art forms such as poetry, dance and music while byproducts included the implementation of new attitudes and behaviors within society.
